  As a foreigner and complete stranger to regulations and laws concerning the acquisition of property in Portugal I felt at a loss in finding a suitable home for me in this country. Luck made me meet Helen Sands from Marcela Properties, who not only brought me in contact with a place that absolutely corresponded to my needs and wishes, she also disentangled numerous complications.

  She took great care that absolutely everything was done correctly, a difficult task that not only demanded great know-how, but also tact, patience and diplomacy.

  Helen was an unfailing support to me and a great joy to be in contact with. I very grateful for her precious help.

  Last August Helen Sands of Marcela Properties was asked by a contact of ours to establish a suitable selection of properties in order to maximise the time that me and my wife during our visit to the Algarve in September.
  Helen immediately got the picture of our requirements which we communicated by emails. We immediately had confidence and reassurance of her enormous know-how on both the region and the business of real estate in Portugal.
  During this short stay, all the houses we selected were visited in only two days, at least once. A decision was taken, our offer accepted and here comes the best part:
  From the beginning of October until completion in mid-December Helen managed to be a perfect ‘liaison’ between owner and buyer. A rare and unique combination of feel-good on both sides!
  Awaiting the legal investigation she kept informing both parties upon the way ahead and kept pushing the lawyers and solicitors to make their call.

  Last year my wife and I decided to buy a villa in Portugal. The location we chose was the West Algarve in the national park area of Vale da Telha near Aljezur. We arranged many viewings with 4 estate agents during a 2 week vacation. During these viewings it became very clear that Marcela Properties were the most helpful and knowledgeable of all the agents. Nothing was too much trouble and they selected the right properties to view which most suited our requirements. Their knowledge of the properties was excellent and they were very accurate with all the details.   Now that the sale of my villa (Vila Do Infante, Lote 10) has been completed and we have returned to the UK I feel I should put on record my thanks to you and your team for the professional way you have conducted the sale of the villa. We set out with a 2 year plan and thanks to your Agency we achieved our aim, despite the difficult property climate From the first time we invited you to advertise the property, and I recall ALL your staff came with you to become familiar with the layout, to the eventual sale your Staff have been very supportive and always professional.
